JOB DESCRIPTION

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer (multiple openings) in Brookfield, WI.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, or Computer Science and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) software development experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) creating multiple microservices using Microservice Registration and discovery with Spring cloud using Netflix Eureka; (2) conducting code review, creating test environments, and implementing automation; (3) designing and developing new Integrations using Rest and SOAP webservices; (4) developing Continuous Integration/ Delivery pipelines; and (5) working with the following tools and technologies: Apache Kafka, Cassandra, Graphql, SOAP, Github, Jenkins, Junit, and Mockito.
This position is with U.S. Bank National Association, a U.S. Bank company.
Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $131,893 - $140,100. (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Software Engineer is responsible for building the credit card APls. This role is involved in the technical details of building highly available and reliable services, while also working with product teams to build new capabilities for U.S. Bank Above the Glass applications.
Specific duties include: (1) focus on technological solution delivery by guiding and inspiring strong coding practices and solid software design decisions among their team; (2) grow and mentor engineers as it relates to technical skills and career development; (3) assist with cross-team strategic efforts, influencing decisions to achieve efficient delivery of business value; (4) understand cross-team technical roadmaps, advocating new product abilities based on technical strategy and constraints; (5) design, test, develop, operate, and maintain products; (6) design code that fits with the overall architecture; (7) use systematic debugging to diagnose cross service issues, be adept at using a range of tools to detect when there is an incident and raise this with stakeholders in a timely manner; (8) take ownership of incidents which fall the domain and be involved in the resolution of an incident or provide assistance to others on resolving incidents; (9) create multiple microservices using Microservice Registration and discovery with Spring cloud using Netflix Eureka; (10) conduct code review, create test environments, and implement automation; (11) design and develop new Integrations using Rest and SOAP webservices; (12) develop Continuous Integration/ Delivery pipelines; and (13) work with the following tools and technologies: Apache Kafka, Cassandra, Graphql, SOAP, Github, Jenkins, Junit, and Mockito.
