Job Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Network Drivers Team, focusing on Linux kernel network development and collaboration with partners. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for upstream and downstream network drivers activities for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). Your expertise in open-source driver development will help shape the future of our network drivers.

What You Will Do:

• Develop and maintain network drivers for the Linux kernel
• Collaborate with partners and upstream communities (e.g., Linux kernel maintainers)
• Contribute to upstream and downstream network drivers activities for RHEL
• Debug and troubleshoot complex network driver issues
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure driver compatibility and stability
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards

What You Will Bring:

• Hands-on experience in Linux kernel development, preferably in network drivers
• Knowledge of C programming and Linux kernel internals
• Experience with open-source driver development and upstream/downstream processes
• Familiarity with Linux OS and network driver development for enterprise Linux distributions
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Collaboration and communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, Ethernet)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Familiarity with Golang is a bonus
