Description:
Do you take pride in crafting exceptional software wherever in the stack a problem takes you? Do you find joy when you collaborate with diverse teams to turn ambitious ideas into reality? If you’re the kind of engineer who can blend technical expertise with creativity while mentoring and empowering others, we want to hear from you!
At Expel, we’re on the lookout for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Workbench Orchestration team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of designing and delivering robust, event-driven systems that are vital to our cybersecurity automation. Your work will enable our expert cybersecurity analysts to transparently safeguard our customers.
You’ll partner closely with our team’s Tech Lead and Product Manager to prioritize and tackle important company goals and engineering-led initiatives. Your knack for producing high-quality, modular software will shine as you collaborate with your teammates through pair programming, design sessions, and code reviews. We value mentorship here, so you’ll also have the chance to guide less experienced engineers, fostering their growth and creating an inclusive team culture.
Success in this role means balancing technical excellence with timely execution. You’ll participate in our 24x7 operational support, always ready to dive into challenges headfirst. Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies will be key as you evaluate new tools and systems to keep us ahead of the curve.
We think it’s pretty simple. If we take care of our crew, they’ll take care of customers. That attitude is core to our culture. And we’ve worked hard to create a space where employees can do what they love. We know you have options and we’re hoping you’ll make us one of them. If you’re looking for a job with a mission to match your skills then we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to building a scalable and configurable orchestration platform.
- Enthusiastically reinforce our belief in good software engineering practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous deployment.
- Mentor and help develop less experienced engineers.
- Add to our engineering culture.
