KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Designs, builds and tests back-end applications within an agreed schedule, adhering to development processes and quality standards
• Capable of working collaboratively with fellow developers throughout the software development lifecycle
• Takes ownership of feature development, coordinating with development squads, Software Reliability Engineers, Security, Performance and Release Management teams to see through a successful delivery from development to Production
• Capable of working with ambiguous requirements to design and build fit-for-purpose applications
• Participate in regular agile events such as sprint planning, reviews, provide reasonable estimates for tasks and capability to weigh pros and cons for proposed solutions
• Timely reporting of progress status, including any identified risks or issues
• Troubleshoot development and production issues across multiple environments and applications
• Comply with PEXA corporate and compliance policies

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Must have practical development knowledge in Java 17 or above (Spring Boot) in developing microservices
• Must have AWS and Cloud knowledge - Lambda and ECS
• Prior experience in the build and deployment pipeline strongly desired (e.g. working in CI/CD environment)
• Familiar in the use of Amazon MQ (both development and infrastructure knowledge), JMS, ESBs and middleware applications
• Knowledge on transforming XML/XSD data
• Knowledge of performance-testing tools and framework
• Knowledge in setting up end-to-end test framework – integration testing
• Familiar with test methodology and automation
• Prior experience in SFTP/JSch
• Firm understanding of SSL certificates / MSSL / file encryption and decryption
• Practical experience around AppDynamics, Splunk, SignalFX
• Ability to test manually using HTTP API client, or general API knowledge (Postman, SoapUI)
• Shell scripting knowledge (Unix / Linux / Mac / Windows)

We require a developer with enterprise integration knowledge to join our team in designing and building (Java) apps that support our Exchange platform.
The position will involve working with the Technology & Delivery Manager and Developers in delivering a modern architecture that adheres to best practices, ensures platform robustness, and meets company SLAs.
