SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Photocentric Ltd based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and the USA is an award-winning innovator in 3D printing. We have invented a patented new method of 3D printing that we are starting to disrupt the way things are made, worldwide. We manufacture our own 3D printers and resins in Peterborough and export all over the world.
Join Photocentric and help us take our 3D printer software to the next level! We’re seeking an exceptional Software Engineer to enhance our system capabilities and transform additive manufacturing into the next generation of mass manufacturing solutions.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS OF OUR SOFTWARE ENGINEER:

  • Experience in embedded systems.
  • Proven experience with mixed language projects (Angular, C, C++).
  • Expertise in event-driven systems and APIs.
  • Experience in database system design and application.
  • Strong debugging and code design skills.
  • This role and salary will be tailored to suit either a recent graduate to an experienced software engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Working within a small yet dynamic engineering team and with other R&D teams to deliver bespoke software solutions to shape the future of manufacturing.
  • Architect and build front and back-end systems to create new 3D printing solutions.
  • Diagnosing issues and overcome problems with hands-on equipment.
  • Analysing business requirements and manage software releases.
  • Developing documentation and software release information.
  • Continuing developing our bespoke 3D printer control software.
  • Identifying and managing outsourcing opportunities.
