JOB PROFILE SUMMARY:

In this role, you will design, develop and provide support for applications in Prudential Singapore. As part of this dynamic role, you will work closely with business units and other IT teams to deliver leading edge technology to enable digital capabilities of Prudential Singapore.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Work as part of a team of developers to analyze, design, develop, test, deploy and support applications to meet business objectives.
• Maintain and support the applications in accordance to Service Level Agreement.
• Deliver applications in accordance to relevant IT policies and procedures
• Resolve new/complex problems which may impact the application.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Good understanding of different architectures, tools, and languages
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of web applications and architecture implementation (HTTP, API, Middleware, Micro-services, Web securities practices…)
• Proficiency using version control systems (BitBucket, GIT).
• Strong skills in, Core Java, Spring Boot, Servlets/JSP, JSTL, Hibernate, Thymeleaf.
• Knowledge in HTML5, CSS3.
• Knowledge in developing and integrating services using RESTful APIs.
• Good knowledge in JSON/YAML, swagger used to describe the API’s.
• Good knowledge in RDBMS with exposure in DB2, Oracle, Postgres.
• Experience in Unit Test/SIT/Regression (Junit, Mockito, Cypress/JEST).
• Strong knowledge in project life cycle methodologies (Agile/SCRUM).
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in payment gateways, third-party API integrations is a plus.
• Independent and works well across different functions.

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

• More than 5 years in designing, developing, and maintaining IT applications.
• Experience in leading / supervising an application development team.
• Experience in Agile software development
• Experience with 3rd party vendor management is an added advantage.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
