Description:
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Cloud Computing.
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience with containers.
SKILLS WE VALUE:
- Operating System Proficiency: Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems in a traditional workload and containerized environment
- Cloud Services Expertise: Experience with AWS scripting (Cloud Formation or Terraform), Kubernetes
- Database Management: Practical knowledge of MySQL databases, including setup, management, and troubleshooting.
- Project Management Tools: Experience using and administrating the Atlassian Suite, GitLab
- Monitoring/Alarming Solutions: Experience with monitoring and alarming solutions such as Zabbix, OpenSearch, Grafana, and Datadog.
- DevSecOps: Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, security automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC).

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- You will provide advanced application and infrastructure support for a variety of COTS and non-COTS applications in both a traditional workload and containerized environments.
- You will support applications and infrastructure in AWS using IaC principles.
- You will serve as an agile team member on a cross-functional team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operating system support, application support, monitoring/alarming, enhancing application performance, and adhering to corporate security compliance standards.
- You will interface with internal Collins customers to understand their support needs and provide reliable applications for our engineering community.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles* will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
- Position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role
