JOB DESCRIPTION

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer - Test Automation in Irving, TX.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 2 years (24 months) of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer or related.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 2 years (24 months) of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer or related. Must possess 2 years (24 months) of experience with each of the following skills: (a) developing and implementing behavior driven development using Cucumber; (b) writing and executing test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Java, and TestNG; (c) running manual and automation testing of web based and mobile applications and APIs; (d) creating, maintaining, and modifying test plans, test cases, and test scripts; (e) performing regression testing for monthly release activities; (f) managing test reports of the projects using Zephyr test management tool; and (g) utilizing all the following skills/tools/technologies: Agile Methodology, Java, Jenkins, SQL, Jira, Microservices, DB2, CI/CD, Maven, Eclipse, Oracle, JSON, Rest APIs, J2EE, GIT and GitLab. In lieu of a Master’s plus 2 years, will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer or related and 5 years of experience in all of the above skills listed. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location.
Pay Range: $103,679.00 - $150,500.00.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Software Engineer - Test Automation will develop and maintain backend and fronted test automation frameworks. The Software Engineer - Test Automation position will: implement behavior driven development (BDD) and test automation frameworks using tools such as using Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Rest Assured, Java, TestNG, Jenkins, Gradle, GIT, IntelliJ, and Zephyr; Create business-based functional test scenarios, test plans, test cases, test scripts, test specifications, and traceability matrices; Work on mainframe systems for data creation and data conditioning to validate products in a test environment prior to production; Develop and maintain software quality metrics such as defect leakage ratio, defect rejection ratio to access the product quality, product performance, and database performance; Analyze production issues using Splunk and Kibana logs for web, mobile and API validation; Execute test strategies and conduct test case review including providing project related status reporting and coordinating all release activities; Perform functional regression, including preproduction and post-production validation for monthly release activities. This position requires only little domestic travel. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple Positions.
