POSITION SUMMARY

To continue to fuel our growth, we are seeking a Software Engineer to join as a key contributor to our Document Verification (DocV) engineering team. Trulioo’s DocV engineering team is responsible for developing a distributed cloud platform that supports production API services, big data infrastructure, and processes machine learning. Trulioo utilizes the best available tools, instruments, and practices to create a world class platform and we are looking for the talent that will help us stay on the cutting edge of technology. This is a full-time position located in our Vancouver office and will report to our Manager, Engineering.
Software Engineer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, defining system functionality, providing solutions and writing code in various languages, like Kotlin and Swift. Our ideal candidates are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Applying cutting-edge technologies to modern mobile application development
  • Collaborating with UX and Product Management to craft customer-focused solutions and forward-looking product strategy
  • Working with a team of high-performance software engineers to architect, design, and deliver new products and user experiences
  • Working closely with senior technical team members to keep the technology competitive and up to date
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Owning a product release from discovery to deployment
  • Understand and execute on the full software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Test, troubleshoot, and debug both existing systems and new features to ensure user success
  • Clearly communicate gaps and concerns to leadership in a timely manner
  • Evaluate software for areas of improvement and champion solutions
