About the Team:
With eight specialized departments, the engineering team functions as a highly collaborative, diverse powerhouse. Each department mission is to deliver seamless and innovative communication solutions. These range from software development and machine learning to quality assurance teams that work to create and maintain Zoom’s user-friendly interfaces and robust infrastructure. The team continues to push the boundaries of communication technology, bringing people together regardless of their physical distance.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to groom product backlogs and translate high-level requirements into detailed feature deliverables.
- Design, develop, and test customer facing product core features.
- Build an immersive experience for Zoom Events customers.
- Enable seamless integrations with apps published on the Zoom App Marketplace to further enrich Zoom Events user experience.
- Triage critical customer issues and support customer engagement.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
What we’re looking for:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent.
- Must have 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupation.
- Must have 5 years of experience in Java programming language that is used to build web services and implement product feature specific business logics; Spring Boot framework to rapidly build and deploy web applications and services; Microservices Architecture for better scalability and faster development cycle; RESTful APIs for facilitating HTTP based communications between different services or applications; React JavaScript Library for building web application user interfaces based on UI components; SQL and noSQL Databases for persisting service and customer data; Web Application Security that is designed to protect web services and applications when under attack; Github as a Git repository hosting service for source code access and collaboration; and Junit as a unit testing framework using the Java programming language.
- Telecommuting work arrangement permitted: position may work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Position does not require domestic or international travel.
