Responsibilities:
POSITION ROLE TYPE:

Do you want to build integrated systems on world-class Collins platforms? Do you enjoy pulling together a system to create a bigger picture? Do you enjoy networks and watching data flow through a system? As a system integration software engineer, you will provide the operating environment for our application teams and support them with tools and troubleshooting for integration points between applications.
Our team works across engineering disciplines to deliver world-class avionics systems to warfighters on tankers, helicopter, and cargo aircraft.
Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session that will run from January-August 2025 (this includes the Spring semester; it is expected that students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- You will create and maintain system configuration files, including configuration of operating systems, network interfaces, and ARINC-429 and MIL-STD-1553 bus I/O.
- You will assist our Collins and third-party teams with lab systems, manage the software configuration on lab assets, and support hardware/software troubleshooting in our system integration facilities.
- You will create the Collins Avionics system field-loadable mediasets and manage the customer release of top-level Collins software products.
