For our office in Belgium, we are looking for an engineering intern who can help us develop the next-generation of wireless connectivity for the smart home and industry 4.0. You will be involved in technologies such as ultra-Wideband, Matter, Thread, Zigbee and Bluetooth Low Energy.
Qorvo Belgium covers a broad range of engineering practices. Depending on your interest and field of expertise, we will work with you to find an internship that best suits you. Qorvo Belgium can offer an internship on digital ASIC development, Embedded SW development for Wireless SoC’s, Application Engineering (SW or HW) or System validation.

Qualifications (depending on the final topic selected by the intern, not all skills are needed):

  • Good knowledge of python
  • Experience with embedded programming
  • Familiar with VHDL and FPGA development
  • Currently pursuing BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity/understanding of IDEs, multithreading paradigms, shell scripting, algorithms and data-structures
  • Self-Starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detai

Responsibilities:

  • Enabling vision-based Edge AI applications on Qorvo’s Wireless SOC platform
  • Extracting data from automatic regression test system, and performing statistical analysis
  • Implementing a firmware upgrade system for internal development boards
  • Setting up a virtual test environment with multiple simulated nodes
  • Porting our test-node software to a raspberry-pi
  • Setting up a system for automatic tracking of test plan progress based on gitlab test data.
  • Setting up a FPGA based remote debugging approach
