  Our client is a leading player in the Mining Technology sector, offering innovative solutions and industry expertise to enhance the sustainability and safety of operations in mining and material movement. With R&D offices in Brisbane, Canada, and Chile, this role is based at their Brisbane office in Eight Mile Plains.
  The successful candidate will enjoy a “hands-on” leadership role, working closely with product management and business teams to transform requirements into cutting-edge software designs. We seek an individual with extensive software engineering experience, a proven ability to mentor and lead a team, and a passion for developing innovative products using both new and established software technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• 10+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong experience in Python and C++.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Java, or Microsoft .NET.
• Experience in designing and developing applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). (Distributed Systems)
• Familiarity with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications or Mining Technology is a bonus, but not essential.
• Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship is required.
