We are currently seeking a Software Implementation Manager at our Head Office in Sherwood Park. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and they are responsible for ensuring that all current and new software or systems are seamlessly integrated into a company’s existing workflow. This position involves coordinating with various departments to understand their needs and challenges, thereby tailoring the implementation process to meet these specific requirements. By overseeing the project from conception through to completion, the Software Implementation Manager ensures that all technical and non-technical aspects of the new system are addressed, facilitating a smooth transition for all users.
Responsibilities:
- Project and System Management
- Research, design, and implement the appropriate technologies to support and improve corporate communications, access to information, and end-user productivity.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software implementation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet client specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and operations, to ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and risk assessments, to ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Facilitate training sessions for internal clients, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources needed to effectively use the software.
- Customize software configurations to meet the specific needs and requirements of each client, ensuring optimal performance and satisfaction.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to gather feedback, assess project success, and identify areas for improvement in future projects.
- Manage internal client relationships throughout the implementation process, acting as the primary point of contact for any questions, concerns, or changes.
- Research and implement new methodologies and technologies to enhance the implementation process and improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Create and deliver business cases for technology acquisitions.
- Create status reports as required, present findings to senior management.
- Change Management
- Seamlessly integrate new systems, processes, or solutions with the organization.
- Develop and change management plans to ensure minimal disruption and maximum adoption by stake holders through communication, training and support.
- Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to align project goals and manage expectations.
- Vendor Management
- Lead vendor contract negotiations for new systems in collaboration with the Subject Matter Expert in that functional area.
- Establish and manage partnerships with vendors
- Review and approve contracts for new systems.
