Job Summary
This role involves writing software interfaces using Southwest Microwave and various third-party software development kits (SDK’s).
Responsibilities
1. Write software interfaces using SDK’s
2. Design and implement high-performance software interfaces using C++/C# SDK frameworks
3. Develop robust API integrations for real-time security monitoring systems
4. Create scalable middleware solutions for multi-site security deployments
5. Optimize interface performance for high-throughput security operations
6. Maintain SDK certification and platform-specific credentials
7. Provide technical consultation for enterprise security implementations

Key Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in C++, C#, and .NET framework (or equivalent)
  • Experience with REST APIs, SOAP, and GraphQL or similar
  • Experience with ONVIF, PSIA, or similar security protocols
  • Knowledge of security protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT)
  • Expertise in SQL and database optimization
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking and security architecture
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Desirable skills include knowledge of access control systems and video management platforms as well as Commercial software licensing expertise

Person Specification
The person will hold a relevant qualification in computer science, software engineering or equivalent and/or have experience in interface development.
This is mainly an office-based position and therefore the candidate will likely reside in the Worcestershire or neighbouring Gloucestershire Counties.
This is a short-term contract position with the possibility of leading to a full-time position.
