We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and experienced Software Product Manager (mid-level or Senior level) to join our dynamic clinical innovation teams at PPD. You are an experienced product manager that has a track record working with clinical trial data, and working with business, technology, and clinical teams to build software solutions that are data and analytics focused. We are looking for a product manager who is passionate about data and how data can help improve patient outcomes.
As a Software Product Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the development and success of our software applications and products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and stakeholders, to define and prioritize product requirements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs. You will have experience mentoring other Product Managers and work with the Head of Product to deliver the team’s operational objectives.
This role acts as the voice of the client and serves as the go-to subject matter expert on systems, integrations, processes, and operations required to support our products.

  • Conduct thorough user research to gain insights into user needs, pain points, and translate them into product features and software requirements.
  • Take ownership of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap by collaborating with key stakeholders, including the leadership team, clients, and the product team.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure the timely delivery of the product with the committed features.
  • Conduct regular product demonstrations to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and iterating on product features.
  • Lead the product release planning, feature backlog management, prioritization, and translate features into actionable epics and user stories.
  • Make critical decisions regarding functionality and priorities, always focused on delivering value and maintaining high quality.
  • Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure customer satisfaction, engagement, and adoption.
  • Manage timelines for implementation, delivery, and deadlines throughout the development process.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape, trend reports, market statistics, and metrics to enhance our products.
  • Utilize collected feedback, collaborate with stakeholders and the team, and recommend and implement changes accordingly.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies to ensure successful product delivery.
