Description:

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant Degree/postgraduate qualification, or equivalent experience
  • Project Management qualification and thorough understanding of project management methodologies, or proven working experience in active project management and managing cross functional projects
  • Strong background and practical experience across all types of project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
  • Solid experience in cooperating with Product Owners, Technical Product Owners and Scrum Masters
  • Proven experience in the management of complex, cross-departmental (software) projects.
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability and critical thinking skills
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German, and ability to present information effectively

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

IGEL Technology is an innovative software company that specializes in simplifying and optimizing digital work environments for employees and companies.
Our existing Project Management Office (PMO) standardizes the way we manage projects and provides comprehensive advice, training and information for our project managers. To strengthen our team, we are looking for another talented project manager to work with us to achieve our goals and continue shaping the digital world of work. The projects that need to be managed span across multiple departments within IGEL. Key stakeholders and project members will typically be located in the US (East and West Coast), and Germany (Augsburg and Bremen) and work needs to be coordinated internally and potentially with third party business partners in different locations.
As a Software Project Manager (m/f/d) , you will take the lead on projects within our IGEL OS portfolio and work closely with software developers and solution architects.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility and document timelines and requirements
  • Validate resource availability and allocation to meet project timelines
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Organizing and moderating meetings, creating the agenda and following up on to-dos.
  • Report on the project progress on a regular basis and escalate to management as needed
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks
  • Meet with software developers/subject matter experts to clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Communicate the status to the respective stakeholders and workstreams
  • Ensure that project tasks are delegated appropriately and execution is tracked
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with all stakeholders and project members, ensure that timelines are matched with third party timelines; develop mitigation strategies for project risks
  • Complete post implementation reviews to ensure a successful project delivery has been achieved and identify any future improvement opportunities.
