SOFTWARE QA ENGINEER (QUALITY ANALYSIS)

Responsibilities:
o Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications.
o Identify and prioritize testing scenarios to ensure maximum test coverage.
o Execute manual and automated tests to verify software functionality, performance, and usability.
o Analyse test results to identify defects and report them to the development team.
o Retest bug fixes to ensure they resolve the issue and do not introduce new problems.
o Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
o Automate repetitive test cases to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

o Continuously improve automation frameworks and processes.

• Defect Tracking and Reporting:

o Accurately document and track defects using a bug tracking system.
o Provide clear and concise defect reports, including steps to reproduce and expected behaviour
o Collaborate with the development team to resolve defects promptly.
o Participate in code reviews and design discussions to ensure quality standards are met.
o Advocate for quality best practices and processes within the team.
o Stay up to date with the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Work experience in designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Experience with API testing and performance testing

Education:

• Bachelor’s (Required)

Experience:

• software development lifecycle (SDLC) testing methodologies: 5 years (Preferred)
• test-automation tools, (Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).: 5 years (Preferred)
• bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).: 5 years (Preferred)
