Description:

We are seeking a Software Quality Analyst to join our Garmin Labs team at our Cluj-Napoca office.
Garmin Labs is our R&D department where we focus on innovation. We employ new technologies, as well as existing ones, to develop new products and open new markets, with the purpose of bringing value to our customers through innovative solutions.
As a member of our team, you will be testing the iOS and Android applications for our latest projects developed in the Garmin Labs incubator. You’ll have the chance to apply industry-proven best practices while working on a diverse range of engaging projects. We value candidates that are willing to take initiative and care about the quality of their work.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Good knowledge of the iOS and Android mobile platforms.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies, techniques, practices, and tools.
  • Experience with tracking tools for requirements, test cases, defects and tasks.
  • Software Development and QA life cycle knowledge.
  • Advanced English knowledge.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a prioritized way and attention to details.A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in mobile applications testing.

Would be a plus:

  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another relevant field.

Responsibilities:

  • Requirements analysis.
  • Testing newly developed functionalities by using the appropriate testing techniques and methods.
  • Review, maintain and execute test scenarios.
  • Execute various type of testing – functional, regression, smoke, integration, etc.
  • Developing and running effective tests to ensure the product’s stability and performance.
  • Work together with the product, design and development teams and provide constant feedback.
  • Defect tracking and reporting using JIRA.
  • Contribute to the high quality of the products throughout the development life cycle.
