ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Developing and delivering GUI applications for Linux/Windows using WinForms, Qt/QML) for real products, e.g. scientific instrumentation, medical devices, industrial equipment, laboratory instruments, Mechatronics etc.
  • Proficiency in C++ to contribute to core product development, and VB6 to support legacy instruments
  • Maintaining and developing existing software and hardware
  • Working directly and collaboratively with colleagues across all business functions and multiple projects

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Developing and delivering real time embedded software
  • Experience of digital closed loop control and signal processing
  • Experience integrating system hardware (including specifying, evaluating COTS products)
  • Data Analysis relating to physical quantities (position, pressures, temperatures, flows etc).
  • Experience with bare metal programming and communication protocols (e.g. I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet, RS232)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop software for the company’s laboratory analytical Instruments.
  • Contribute to the design of new products, specifically the software and system architecture.
