Software Tech Lead (m/w/d)

We are looking for a dedicated Software Tech Lead to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. We have multiple sites to be launched in the coming years and we need you to help us in overseeing the implementation, design, deployment and commissioning of our MES solution for our new Gigafactory, Northvolt Drei, in Heide, Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany.

ABOUT THE JOB

We have invested significant effort in developing one of the most sophisticated Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for battery manufacturing - completely in-house. We aim to deploy and customize this system for each new factory and manufacturing setup on Northvolt’s roadmap. We are now looking for driven software engineers to be responsible for system setup, equipment integration design, configuration, deployment, testing and validation of our MES system for our new factories and production lines to come.
You will be part of a project team which are responsible for deliver our digitalization offering to our manufacturing site Drei in Heide, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. You will work closely with the MES development engineers, platform engineers and our equipment suppliers to ensure we’re able to setup and integrate Northvolt MES efficiently.

  Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, preferably in a forward deployed or integration-focused role.
• Expertise in designing and developing software solutions, with a focus on system integration.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Golang, Python, Java, C++) and experience with software development frameworks.
• Experience working with cloud solutions (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP etc)
