Description:

Overview:
LMI is seeking a Software Test Automation Engineer to support an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Modernization program, the Enterprise Business System – Convergence (EBS-C). The Software Test Manager will coordinate with Army test agencies, develop testing strategies, identify test scenarios, and monitor test results to ensure the technical integration provider (TIP) identifies, manages, and mitigates risks for this System Modernization effort by establishing and maintaining effective test practices.
Work location is client site, Fort Belvoir, VA. Note: Telework is acceptable under current government directed COVID measures. Upon amendment of those measures, liberal telework will be acceptable with occasional requirements to visit client offices at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Responsibilities:

  • Help develop and maintain a program test and evaluation plan.
  • Coordinate activities with Army test organizations, the EBS-C program staff, and the TIP.
  • Design and develop test automation frameworks for applications being built in a continuous integration environment.
  • Write testing scripts and automation processes
  • Design, develop, and maintain test frameworks heavily leveraging automation.
  • Define, develop, and implement automation best practices and standards and procedures within an Agile framework.
  • Actively participate in agile software development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Identify automation framework inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Mentor others regarding testing and test best practices.
  • Design test strategies, test plans, and test cases from requirements, design documents and specifications.
  • Understand Business requirements and translate into automated testing.
  • Review and recommend remedial actions based on test results.
  • Oversee testing to ensure that products conform to established performance, quality, policy, and standards.
  • Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
  • Interface with program staff to ensure requirements are met.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience with an emphasis on software test automation including test framework design, development, and maintenance/support.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of an agile development team.
  • Familiar with use of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Development experience within an agile environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of an agile development team.
  • Must be experienced with test automation frameworks.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Enterprise Test Management, Test Automation, and Performance Testing software.
  • Knowledge of automation concepts, agile testing frameworks & best practices from industry in automating web applications.
  • Have and maintain a government Secret security clearance.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Development experience within an agile environment.
  • Experience in DoD projects.
  • Experience in DevSecOps.
  • Experience with cross domain solutions and testing of access and transfer of information between two or more security domains.
  • Experience with testing cloud based systems.
  • Experience with more than one automated test framework/toolset.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment/ Continuous Testing (CI/CD/CT).
  • Agile certifications.
