Software Test Engineer

REQUIREMENTS:

(a) Experience in Software Development Lifecycle Cycle (SDLC) and has in-depth knowledge and experience in analysing software requirement specifications and identifying the required test scenarios;
(b) In-depth knowledge and experience in test plan, test strategy, test estimation and test methodologies;
(c) Experience in functional testing, regression testing, system testing, Graphical User Interface (GUI) testing, and integration testing;
(d) Experience in load testing, performance testing and test automation is a must;
(e) Strong written and verbal communication skills;
(f) Experience in the healthcare domain is an added advantage;
(g) Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment; and
(h) ISTQB foundation certification

(a) The Test Engineer: (i) Conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analysis to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements;
(ii) Drafts, revises and approves test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and IT strategy;
(iii) Ensures that system tests are completed, documented and all problems are resolved before releasing to users; (iv) Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues, recommends process, product or service improvements;
(v) May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives;
(vi) Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience;
(vii) Has high service standards towards ensuring that software systems are issue-free and shall be methodical in performing software quality control tests, anticipating problems and resolving issues that occur; and
(viii) Shall be able to apply knowledge from multiple disciplines to develop innovative improvement solutions, and to communicate his/her improvement recommendations effectively.
(b) The Test Engineer shall develop software quality guidelines, including to:
(i) Develop software quality guidelines;
(ii) Review documentation of software quality standards and indicators; and
(iii) Address issues of non-compliance with software quality specifications.
(c) The Test Engineer shall oversee software development process, including to:
(i) Evaluate requirements and objectives of the software;
(ii) Review software design and design control documents;
(iii) Drive the achievement of higher quality standards in software development; and
(iv) Recommend solutions/best practices, design approaches and technologies to enhance software quality.
(d) The Test Engineer shall perform user quality assurance testing, including to:
(i) Design test plans for new software;
(ii) Perform a range of quality assurance tests;
(iii) Analyse data and issues that arise from quality assurance tests;
(iv) Identify potential problems that a user might encounter;
(v) Recommend solutions to complex software problems;
(vi) Develop test outcome reports; and
(vii) Review final product to ensure the fulfilment of required quality standards.
(e) The Test Engineer shall optimise quality assurance processes, including to:
(i) Evaluate the efficiency of existing quality assurance processes; and
(ii) Review recommendations to optimise quality assurance processes.
