To support our mission of developing innovative audiological solutions that enhance the lives of millions, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Software Tools Architect to join our Signal Processing team.
YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for a skilled Software Tools Architect who excels in optimizing development tools and driving innovation in audiological algorithms. You therefore might have following qualifications:
Experience
- M.Sc. or equivalent experience within the fields of software development or similar +5 years of experience in designing software solutions and architectures as well as developing, maintaining and deploying software tools and development environments for developers in the industry or related areas
- Highly skilled in C++ with a focus on C++17 and later versions as well as the ability to code in C#, .NET Core
- Experience with cross-platform development for Windows and Linux and in building systems like CMake
- Knowledge in the areas of Python and MathWorks products for signal processing
- Knowledge of cloud solutions, e.g. Azure DevOps, AWS as well as containers like Docker and Kubernetes

Responsibilities:
As a Software Tools Architect, your role entails guiding the development of our internal software tools for the signal processing department. These tools provide the development environment and tool chains for developing the next generation of algorithms in our hearing aids. As part of a small team, you will be focusing on making our tools and workflows easier for your colleagues in the department, so they can focus their time on developing new algorithms.
You will work on improving our internal development tools written in C++, C#, Python and MATLAB while trying to automate as much of building and testing as possible. We use Azure DevOps in combination with Docker. Several of our internal tools are cross-platform running on Windows and Linux.
Your daily tasks could look like the following:
- Developing, implementing and deploying a diverse range of software tools for your signal processing colleagues using C++ or other languages
- Designing solutions and architectures for the signal processing development environments and tool chains
- Optimizing workflows by developing and maintaining automation of build, test and deployment mainly using Azure DevOps
- Understanding developer needs from the signal processing department and key stakeholders
- Having a system view on the solutions you are part of developing and ensure that they fit into the tooling landscape of surrounding departments
- Breaking down complex tasks and planning your daily work with your workgroup
- Monitoring new technologies and tools in your field of expertise and integrate these solutions into your daily work
- Guiding and coaching your colleagues from a technical point of view in relation to software tools
- Owning the software tools and DevOps strategy for the department for all development phases from early MATLAB prototypes through real-time simulation until final reference code delivery
