REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven sales experience, ideally in a field-based environment focused on domestic/homeowner markets.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a demonstrated ability to generate and nurture your own leads.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to build rapport easily with homeowners.
  • Organisational skills with attention to detail, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate quotations.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to meet customers in their homes.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Solar Sales Consultant for the domestic market, you will be a key ambassador of our brand, responsible for bringing reliable and sustainable solar energy solutions directly to homeowners. While you will benefit from leads generated by our marketing efforts, an essential part of your success will come from proactively sourcing and managing your own leads. You will receive thorough training to understand how solar PV technology works, enabling you to guide prospective customers confidently from initial interest to completed sale. Your role will involve traveling to customers’ homes, working from your own home, and attending a weekly meeting at our Kenmare office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Generation: Actively seek out and cultivate new domestic leads through personal networking, referrals, and community outreach, in addition to following up on leads provided by the company’s marketing activities.
  • Customer Consultations: Visit homeowners to evaluate their energy needs and provide tailored solar PV solutions. Clearly explain the financial and environmental benefits in a way that’s easy for customers to understand.
  • Sales Negotiation & Closing: Present proposals, handle objections, prepare accurate quotations, and negotiate agreements to successfully close sales.
  • Technical Understanding & Training: Participate in comprehensive training sessions to fully understand solar PV systems, energy-saving incentives, and industry best practices. Stay updated on product advancements and market trends.
  • Reporting & Administration: Keep detailed records within our CRM system, manage sales pipelines, and provide regular updates to management on sales activities, targets, and results.
