Description:

SOLAR SPECIALIST - PERMANENT, FULL TIME

SkyFire Energy is seeking a highly motivated sales professional to join our team in West Kelowna. We are looking for a candidate with the drive, perseverance, and motivation to ensure the continuous growth of solar energy in Western Canada. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, whose passions and values align with SkyFire Energy.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Over two years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the solar, construction, electrical industry.
  • Extensive experience with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Experience with industry software such as Scanifly, OpenSolar, SketchUp, PVsyst is an asset.
  • Capable of lifting, moving, climbing ladders, and comfortable working at heights.
  • Flexibility to meet with potential customers in the evenings or on weekends as necessary.
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license with an excellent record.
  • Demonstrated passion for the renewable energy industry
  • A growth mindset.

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focus on Business-to-Consumer (B2C) engagements and secure agreements with company owners and officers.
  • Build trust and rapport with prospective customers.
  • Manage the sales lifecycle, including lead qualification, assessing client needs, conducting site assessments, pricing, contracts, and negotiations.
  • Solid understanding of solar, solar products, design, etc.
  • Provide excellent post-sale handoffs to the Project team to ensure successful implementation.
  • Maintain Salesforce CRM records and other digital records as required.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Revenue Operations to increase pipeline visibility and organizational support.
  • Attend industry-related networking functions to expand SkyFire’s market presence.
