ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an enthusiastic Solicitor Adult Care Law with post qualification experience. Previous local government experience is desirable but not essential. You will be keen to develop your existing property related experience especially in relation to commercial property matters. Experience of planning and/or highways law would also be desirable but not essential.
You need to be a Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive Advocate and hold the relevant certificate to practice; experience in a local authority setting is preferable but not essential.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year. This role is based at our modern head office which will allow you to perform to your very best. You’ll have our full support throughout your work in an environment in which you can thrive. This includes the opportunity to develop your professional expertise across a breadth of Property casework, which will primarily include acquisitions and disposals of land, landlord and tenant work and providing advice to Council members and officers.
Our Legal Service is recognised as a key partner in our improvement journey and has received considerable investment and growth. This is an ideal time for a serious property legal professional to join our team which is part of the Property and Commercial team.
