Description:

MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a full-time, permanent position located onsite in the Milwaukee, WI area.
Position Overview: As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work in a dynamic environment where your creativity and engineering skills will be crucial in developing unique mechanical and inflatable product solutions for various industries, particularly in global pipeline operations. Your role will involve the entire lifecycle of product development—from conceptual design to manufacturing, and through to ongoing customer support and technical training.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, with experience in Mastercam and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, SQL, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis), including both solid and non-linear analysis.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as CNC metal machining, RF and heat welding, metal welding, vulcanizing, etc.
  • A customer-oriented mindset with a sense of urgency to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Must be eligible to work on a W2 basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize SolidWorks and DriveWorks to design and develop custom mechanical solutions.
  • Apply FEA, DMAIC, DFMEA, and other engineering methodologies to ensure robust product designs.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for CNC machining, 3D printing, industrial sewing, RF & heat welding, and other processes.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions in a timely manner, often under urgent circumstances such as preventing a shutdown or responding to environmental emergencies.
