Job Summary
Blue Yonder is searching for a key Pre-Sales expert based in Europe to join our EMEA Manufacturing Planning team. This role requires knowledge in Manufacturing Planning, processes, procedures and best practices. This role is a trusted advisor to our clients, which means we maintain and offer our clients extensive knowledge in the industries we service, the workflows we can augment and deliver superior results that support our clients’ strategic objectives. We demonstrate and leverage in-depth product knowledge to provide thought leadership and process expertise internally and to customers through sales presentations and product demonstrations.
What you’ll do:
- Prepares extensively prior to a sales engagement with internal Blue Yonder business areas i.e., Sales Management, Services Partners and Services Consulting ensuring maximum efficiency once the sales engagement begins
- Works in partnership with Account Managers and Client Partners to present additional solutions to current clients to solve their business needs
- Provides value to the Client Partner and Services Partner and Account Manager during the sales cycle
- Becomes directly involved with potential customers via proposal requests or actively prospecting for new business opportunities
- Coordinates with various Blue Yonder resources and departments to secure and present appropriate proposal information to prospective and existing clients
- Communicates customer requirements to New Product Development/Product Management Group
- Serves as the liaison between the client and implementation team to facilitate successful project implementations
- Works with Marketing to develop collateral product support materials and promote Blue Yonder events and trade shows
- In collaboration with Account Manager or Client Partner, presents product functionality and benefits to prospective clients
- Customizes presentations to address prospective client’s business needs
- Demonstrates how the proposed methodology can add substantial value in replacing the client’s current business environment
- Articulates and demonstrates the value proposition of Blue Yonder solutions and multiple product sets to the prospective client
- Communicates issues and concerns about client and coordinates the transition meeting with the implementation team
- Establishes relationship with the primary decision maker to facilitate future business development
- Works closely with the customer in discovery sessions and ongoing follow-up discussions to ensure clear and concise communication is taking place
- Considers the margin impact in preparing request for proposal
- Escalates issues that may have negative financial impact
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years’ experience in a pre-sales or consulting role
- Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Planning, processes, procedures and best practices
- Strong communications skills with the ability to guide an audience through clear, concise communication techniques.
- Ability to collaboratively work with other team members to achieve desired goals and objectives both internal and external.
- Effective public speaking skills with the ability to control an audience convey necessary concepts and overcome objections.
- Flexible team player with the desire to pursue personal and team improvement.
- Ability to travel throughout the region.
- Motivated, confident, self-sufficient and able to contribute from day one
- Well organized and consistently meets commitments.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication, problem solving, diplomacy and influencing skills.
