ABOUT YOU

You will have extensive experience in developing a data architectures to support the organisation’s data strategy and business objectives, including data migration requirements.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Extensive experience in a data-related role (data engineering, DBA or data analytics)
• Knowledge of a variety of data technologies and tools including databases, data warehousing, ETL processes, data integration and data visualisation.
• In-depth knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices including data modelling, data governance and data security

• Strong cloud data platform design experience (Azure cloud stack/data experience and certifications would be an advantage)Excellent stakeholder collaboration skills

This is a unique opportunity for a solution driven Data Architect, to be at the start of designing and building the business-critical data platform and architectures that will be at the heart of delivering on our business strategy for years to come. Following the recent merger, we have selected the target state for our data platform and are commencing the solution design process. In this position, close collaboration with the Data Platform Owner is pivotal. The role involves the responsibility of designing a cost-effective cloud data architecture and solution for the organisation. This solution must not only support our data strategy but also align seamlessly with organisational objectives, ultimately driving substantial business value.

• Ensuring relevant aspects of data governance, data security and compliance are embedded in the data platform design.
• Design conceptual data models and data flow diagrams to illustrate data relationships.
• Designing cost effective Azure cloud-based data architectures that can handle current and future data volumes, ensuring scalability, resilience and performance.
• Provide flexible use-case based architectural approaches for integrating diverse data sources and technologies to create a unified data ecosystem for analytical and reporting purposes.
• Assess and assist in the selection appropriate data management technologies and tools.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into architectural designs and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business users to ensure solutions are delivered as designed.
• Demonstrable experience in identifying, articulating, and designing Azure cloud data architectures and solutions encompassing Azure data Factory, Azure Databricks and Power BI
