We are looking for a Solution Architect to join our team in our mission to build a world-class sustainability platform for external reporting of ESG legislation. You will be responsible for driving end-to-end architecture solutions for sustainability with close collaboration to the business and other stakeholders within tech. As a solution architect you are responsible for translating business- and tech requirements into architecture blueprints and identifying areas in need of improvements, holistically evaluate the architecture and use deep technical expertise to understand the business impact of a technical components, recommending and implementing new solutions. Provide leadership related to the solution development by being responsible for the architecture and delivery of a solution or portfolio of solutions. The Solution Architect needs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, advancing the architecture towards the target state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contextualize business strategy and objectives into capabilities and architectural vision and strategy
  • Develop architecture roadmaps and blueprints, creating design artifacts such as Logical Information Models
  • Translate business and technical requirements into architecture that guides solution development and supports efficient collaboration with data analysts and data engineers
  • Evaluate technologies for strategic fit, contributing to business cases for tech shifts.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, addressing technical debt and enhancing value.
  • Provide technical design reviews at various milestones to ensure alignment with architectural principles and organizational goals.
  • Embed architecture thinking across the team and support less experienced individuals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience in architecting/designing solutions built on Cloud (ideally Google or Azure).
  • Proficiency in BigQuery, APIs, and other data-driven technologies to support real-time analytics.
  • Ability to create both high-level and low-level design documentation and technical specifications, with hands-on experience in programming or software engineering.
  • A strong problem-solver who can analyze complex issues, visualize concepts not yet concrete, and develop innovative solutions aligned with H&M’s sustainability goals.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and creativity to navigate a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Ability to provide architecture leadership, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth handoff from design to implementation, and conducting technical design and quality reviews throughout project milestones.
  • Experience evaluating and developing governance structures, methodologies, and compliance measures to ensure security and regulatory alignment (e.g., GDPR) in data handling.
  • Commitment to quality and detail-oriented execution, with the drive to identify and address both current and potential obstacles or opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

    This is a full-time permanent position, starting as soon as possible according to agreement. The role is an on-site position, based in our office in Stockholm, Sweden and requires on-site presence 3-4 days a week.
