WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week currently, or 40% of our time, at our London Office
About this opportunity…
A great opportunity has arisen for a Solutions Architect to work within the Mass Affluent Platform to join product engineering cross functional teams. As a Solutions Architect your responsibilities will be delivering the highest quality solution design, drawing upon your engineering expertise, whilst being open minded to the opportunities the cloud provides.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Lead and manage the design of cloud native solutions considering functional and non-functional aspects including the deployment & build approach, automation, route to live and support model.
  • Optimise cloud native solutions for cost, performance, security, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement event driven microservice architecture supporting LBG’s competitive position.
  • Mentoring other engineers to deliver high quality and cloud led solutions for our Bank’s customers
  • Lead, direct and shape approaches to solving technical challenges and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Established experiences partnering with other collaborators such as Enterprise, Security, Data & Infrastructure architects to create customer value or address business problems.
  • Support Product Owners & Platform Leads in identifying, articulating and impact assessing software & infrastructure currency risks or issues, offering options & recommendations on action planning & continuously ever-greening solutions/systems within the Platform

Specifically, we’re looking for people who have….

  • Strong Solution Architecture experience, using a range of modern technologies (Single Page Applications technologies such as ReactJS), Mobile Native and Cross Platform Apps (Apple iOS, Android or React Native), Microservices, APIs and cloud technologies.
  • Experience in Event Driven Architectures & Streaming Platforms (Kafka)
  • Strong experience working with API standards, security and gateway patterns.
  • Working experience with data technologies – SQL/NoSQL, Big Data.
  • Implementation experience in one of the cloud platforms, specifically GCP
  • API Gateways and Management Platforms (such as IBM API Connect, IBM DataPower, Apigee or Microsoft Azure API Manager).
  • Good understating of cloud storage, security, networking and resource provisioning

It would be great if you had…

  • Certification in GCP “Professional Cloud Architect”
  • Strong experience in data analysis
  • Experience in agile / iterative design working practices.
  • Knowledge of AI.
