The ongoing digital transformation in the IT industry is having a major impact on the technology platforms needed and specifically the impact on the Data Centre platform that is the underlying enabler of a lot of Schneider’s customer businesses. We are looking for a Solution Architect to enable Schneider Electric’s drive towards solutions business for Secure Power division in the Nordics.
You will be a driving force in the team where the main responsibility of this role is to capitalize on the in-depth knowledge of customer process, applications, and decision criteria within the segment with a special competence in datacenter electrical and mechanical infrastructure design.
The Solution Architect works inside a region closely with the Sales, Regional Application Center and Line of Business (LOB) to bring a differentiating value proposition to the customer, leveraging the Schneider Electric offer portfolio (Multi BU / Tier 3 solutions).
The role will be based in one of our offices in the zone, (Sweden, Finland, Norway or Denmark) but with travel to sites across the country and the Nordics.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL?

  • Master’s degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Solid experience in projects and services in relation to Datacenter electrical and mechanical infrastructure design applications.
  • Fluency in both English (verbal and written) and either Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish or Danish is a prerequisite for this position.
  • Have a deep understanding of how data center business works and how to influence the customer decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate your expertise of Datacenter electrical with focus on the low voltage and especially the Cooling part of the solution and mechanical with focus on the cooling solution and especially the heat absorption and heat rejection units, infrastructure design, methods, and practices.
  • Communicate internally and externally to influence the customer’s technical decision in favor of Schneider Electric while supporting sales growth.
  • Provides technical support Datacenter electrical and mechanical infrastructure design and ensures site integration success.
  • In cooperation with the Cloud and Service Providers segment, proposes a strategy to address short and medium term Multi Country targeted account customer’s needs with regards to Datacenter electrical and mechanical infrastructure design. Ensures country offering teams deliver technical and price consistency for projects for accounts.
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for proposal questions around technical Datacenter electrical and mechanical infrastructure design, issues and bid strategies.
  • Before project tender phase, as SME for UPS and Cooling and be part of a group that define complete datacenter electrical and mechanical infrastructure design and architecture.
  • Ensure the execution team is capable to execute the project Datacenter electrical and mechanical infrastructure design, Collect lesson learned feedback the LOB/factory with site information. Monitor the competition.
  • In cooperation with the sales team and a Tender Manager produce the technical solution and the financial cost basis for an offer to the customer.
