The Recommendation & Search Area houses all expertise around personalized content recommendations and search within DPG Media. Our mission is to improve the relevance of our digital products to our customers by providing them with the content they want, whenever and wherever they want it. Additionally, we are engaged in various Machine Learning (ML) & Generative AI (GenAI) initiatives. We build internal developer platforms to facilitate ML engineers and provide a gateway to safely experiment with GenAI models.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in ensuring the architectural integrity and strategic alignment of solutions within the area. Focusing on quality attributes and Domain-Driven Design (DDD), this role ensures that teams’ designs are coherent with area- and enterprise-wide goals. As a solution and enterprise architect, the Solution Architect facilitates the overall architectural vision and guides the Community of Practice within the area, ensuring consistency and optimization across different domains.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Model, maintain, and communicate the architectural vision and priorities of the area, encompassing requirements, guidelines, and constraints from multiple stakeholders (enterprise, other areas, area, business).
• Guide the Community of Practice within the area.
• Ensure consistency of architecture/design decisions within the area to achieve area-wide and enterprise-wide optimization.
• Serve as the final decision-maker when consensus cannot be reached in a timely or consistent manner within the area.
• Contribute to and commit to the enterprise town plan.
• Assist and facilitate both in Enterprise, Solution, and Technical architecture where and when appropriate.
