The Role
RLA has recently acquired a New Zealand Life Insurance business, and this role will primarily focus on its integration. As a Solution Architect, you will initially contribute to this integration and provide ongoing Solution Architecture expertise for BAU and funded initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define end-to-end solution architectures by translating business requirements into customer-centric solutions that align with our strategies, blueprints, policies, architecture principles, and IT standards.
  • Make recommendations based on fact-based analysis, considering dependencies, constraints, risks, and priorities.
  • Collaborate with squads and SMEs, applying your technical expertise to assist throughout the solution design and development lifecycle.
  • Guide and influence business stakeholders and product owners, providing internal consultancy on architectural issues and recommendations.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to business and technology stakeholders, as well as your peers.
  • Assist product owners with cost estimation, benefit analysis, risk analysis, and development plans that incorporate design decisions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the architecture craft.

What You Bring:

  • Proven track record as a Solution Architect, owning end-to-end solution architecture for medium to complex initiatives.
  • Extensive experience in architecting multi-tier solutions across cloud technologies (AWS, PaaS, SaaS, etc.) that meet business requirements and consider non-functional requirements.
  • Recent experience as a Solution Architect in areas such as policy administration systems, claims management, digital (customer or adviser secure portals), and CRM.
  • Strong knowledge of Life Insurance products and processes is highly recommended.
  • Experience in Agile methodology-led projects is recommended.
