Civil Aerospace are developing their next generation Digital products, leveraging Big Data and Cloud technologies to enhance and acceleration our Digital Twin capabilities. We are looking for an Solution Architect to join our growing Civil Solution Development organisation. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the technology and architecture in our Digital Twin portfolio. You are passionate about application architecture and love to use your experience with technology to evangelise the benefits to both technical and non-technical communities.
As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for owning solution designs and content. You will be responsible for architectures across a wide variety of Digital Twin applications, predominantly using Microsoft Azure Technologies as part of our Big Data Platform. Working closely with assurance and security colleagues, you’ll ensure all architectures and designs are compliant, ensuring we can maintain our trusted relationship with our customers.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Drawing on your passion and energy, evangelise the impact Digital technology can make within Rolls-Royce
- Provide extensive hands on architecture and technical leadership to support application design and delivery.
- Take ownership of all aspects of application architecture within the Civil Digital Twins product portfolio, considering, in line with architectural and security standards, reference architectures and enterprise road maps.
- Form a close working relationship with other architects and security teams within Rolls-Royce to share best practice and continually learn.
- Form a strong and trusted relationship with agile DevOps teams, providing technical guidance and thought leadership during continuous delivery
- To be the “brain” and see the entire Digital Twin picture enabling exploitation of data and services across the organisation to more effectively model and simulate our Fleet and Business.
- To converse directly or facilitate engagements with business communities to better understand business drivers for content development.
- Help to shape our Digital platform road maps ensuring your experience supports and enhances decisions made relating to the platform.
- Stay current with your understanding of the fast-changing technology market and ensure architectures align with current best practices.
- To recruit, encourage, inspire and develop our people, helping them to be at their best.
