We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Satellite Solution Architect who will be responsible for the strategic architectural oversight and transformation of non-SAP satellite systems in the context of a major SAP S/4 HANA implementation. This role is key to ensuring that these systems are effectively aligned with our core SAP solutions and broader IT strategy, enabling a seamless operational transition from Woolworths.

- Strategic Systems Oversight: Lead the evaluation, strategic planning, and lifecycle management of non-SAP satellite systems within the enterprise architecture to support business continuity and innovation.
- Solution Design and Implementation: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to design and implement comprehensive solutions that address the needs of satellite system management and integration with our core systems.
- Architectural Standards Development: Establish and evolve architectural standards and frameworks to support the effective integration and operation of satellite systems within our SAP-centric environment.
- Technical and Strategic Leadership: Guide architectural decisions across the organization, advocating for best practices and innovative approaches in managing system complexities and business requirements.
- System Optimization and Enhancement: Proactively identify opportunities for system enhancements and optimizations, ensuring robust performance and scalability in line with business growth.
- Risk Management and Mitigation: Lead risk assessment efforts for satellite systems, developing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Work closely with various business units, IT teams, and external partners to ensure that satellite systems are strategically aligned with organizational goals and deliver on key business objectives.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain meticulous documentation of architectural processes, decisions, and rationales to foster transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing within the organization.
Qualifications
Now let’s talk about you:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience of 7+ yrs of experience as a Solution Architect or similar role in application ownership.
- In-depth knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or .NET.
- Experience with cloud platforms ( Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are a plus.
- Additional Skills: Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP S/4 HANA, is advantageous but .
- Familiarity with business process management and workflow automation tools would also be valuable.
- Special Requirements: Demonstrated ability to manage the lifecycle of non-SAP satellite systems, including the strategic assessment, replacement, and retirement of legacy systems.
- Experience in working collaboratively with SAP architects, integration architects, data architects, and other key IT stakeholders to ensure cohesive and aligned architectural strategies across the enterprise.
