Pelagus 3D is seeking a Solution Architect to be part of our growing team.
The Solution Architect will be tasked with managing and developing the next stage of our digital platform, leading efforts with customers towards providing an optimized experience. The ideal candidate will be dynamically developing our platform’s technical infrastructure roadmap, providing oversight on the development team’s work to ensure proper implementation, and to engage customers to integrate their processes and systems. Whilst, also overseeing the data privacy compliance with international regulations and cybersecurity best practices. Previous work experience from the offshore or maritime industry is considered advantageous. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record as a developer working on digital marketplace platforms and be well versed in designing integration with enterprise systems.
What you will working on
- Optimizing Platform Architecture:
Owning the backend architecture and ensure optimized configuration for high operational availability and scalability
Maintaining oversight on infrastructure growth requirements according to the platform roadmap
Working with the development team to ensure proper implementation of codes and databases and propose solutions to challenges in feature implementations
Developing and maintaining technical documentation
- Platform Integration:
Leading integration efforts with customer ERP (e.g., SAP Ariba) and PMS, ensuring reliable data communication and process synchronization
Designing robust integration methodologies while ensuring scalability across customer accounts
Conducting technical meetings with customers to understand requirements and to communicate integration plans and progress
Providing technical guidance and support to customers throughout the integration process
What we are looking for:
- Excellent written/oral communication skills in English
- Good interpersonal skills and comfortable with working with international customers
- Passionate for technical excellence
- Previous work experience from the offshore or maritime industry
- Self-motivated worker that can take charge of tasks
- Comfortable performing demonstrations in front of clients and team members
- Able to facilitate client change management for buy-in of new tools and processes
What you need to succeed in the role:
- B.E./B.Tech/M. Tech in Computer Science/IT or similar discipline
- 5+ years of experience as an IT lead or Architect, or similar role in a technology-driven organisation
- Expert knowledge in cloud-based IT architecture and design
- Good knowledge of coding languages and databases such as JAVA, Spring Boot and SQL servers.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to understand complex business requirements and identify the most suitable IT solutions
- Experienced in designing and implementing integration solutions using middleware, APIs, and other technologies.
- Strong understanding of integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and middleware platforms.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and their integration mechanisms.
- Basic project management skills to drive integration initiatives with customers
- Good knowledge of international data regulations and cybersecurity best practices
