Solution Engineer – SAP Basis

We are seeking a Solution Engineer- SAP Basis for First Quality Enterprises working remotely. This position will be responsible for Solution Engineering and Solution Delivery for First Quality’s complete SAP landscape including integrations.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Senior member of FQ Technical Team requiring:
• Close collaboration with Solution Architect -SAP Technical Services (Basis) to plan and deliver projects for the implementation of the multi-year SAP Roadmap.
• Work with managed service provider to implement FQ technical solutions.
• Align with production support team to ensure synchronization of SAP landscape.
• SAP Archiving and Data Volume management
• Develop configuration and documentation of archiving and DVM processes.
• Solution Manager configuration
• Focused Run, Focused Insights, DVM, Custom Code Analysis, managed system setup and Early Watch.
• SAP performance management and performance tuning.
• To include E2E analysis, root cause analysis and solution manager performance metrics
• Application Lifecycle management projects with SAP Hosting Provider for the total stack (OS, Oracle DB, Kernel, and Application) and the total SAP landscape.
• Detailed Planning and execution of all activities
• SAP Technical support for functional projects.
• To include 3rd party solutions being introduced into the SAP landscape
• Establishment of Low-Level Design for New Business Initiatives/Projects and Service Introduction to IT Operations for Run & Maintain.
• Low level designs include Testing plans, proactive Sizing and Capacity Management of the SAP Landscape
• Proactively collaborate with Project Managers to develop program and project plans
• Align SAP disaster recovery with SAP Hosting Provider and other IT resources (Infrastructure).
• Develop “run-book” for SAP DR execution
• Test DR in Bubble environment,
• Document findings and define a plan for full DR Execution.
• Provide L3 support for SAP Basis as required (escalation based)

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in SAP Basis including hands-on Experience in SAP performance management and tuning.
• Senior level SAP technical skills to include Basis, OS (Windows/LINUX), Database (Oracle) and Networking
• Thorough knowledge of SAP Basis and Hosting processes, system administration and application lifecycle management.
• Strong Understanding of Archiving processes/objects and Data volume management for a diverse range of SAP instances (ECC, EWM, TM, MDG, SCM, BW)
• Experienced in defining and executing SAP DR processes.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP Technologies, including integrations with Cloud Applications and on-premises applications
• Fluent in using SAP Enterprise support and adept in managing escalations
• Experience in configuring and supporting SAP Solution Manager
• Knowledge of standards and methodology of ITIL and Project Management
• Strong problem solving and decision-making ability with excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build, develop and maintain solid relationships, both internally and externally and partners cross-functionally on a regular basis
