Applied R&D (AR) consists of target-oriented research either with the goal of solving a particular problem / answering a specific question or for multi-discipline design, development, and implementation of hardware, software, and systems including maintenance support. Supplies techno-economic consulting to clients. AR work is characterised by its detailed and complex nature in order to systematically combine existing knowledge and practices to further developing and incrementally improving products, operational processes, and customer-specific feature development.

SUBFAMILY DESCRIPTION

Integration, Verification & Testing (IVT) comprises the integration of SW and / or HW or system components into system, platform, product releases, or networks and verifies the integrated entity or network against particular requirements and specifications. Covers setup and maintenance of laboratory and associated equipment, tools, and devices.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in testing complex system
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes
• Hands on experience with testing Kubernetes based infrastructure
• Expertise in developing and executing detailed test plans and reports.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OCP is considered as a big advantage
• Experience with HW or Infrastructure certification is a plus
• Linux administration
• GIT knowledge
• Networking knowledge is a plus
• Understanding of storage systems
• Automation and CI/CD
• Monitoring and logging

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Management Experience / Achieved well-advanced skills of a specific professional discipline combining deep knowledge of theory and organisational practice or expertise. Recognised expert in their field (depth & breadth). Typically requires 5-8 years extensive relevant experience and/or a graduate / postgraduate equivalent degree.

• 24/7 Technical Support for NCP product
• EME support
• Conduct RCA/EDA analysis : Perform root cause analysis and escape defect analysis to address the issues.
• Develop test planning : Determine strategies for developing test plans for the upcoming release to incorporate solutions to identified problems.
• Create documentation : Generate comprehensive reports and documentation for the identified issues, including RCA/EDA findings.
• Foster collaboration : Collaborate closely with customer care teams, productization teams, and project managers to address support tickets effectively.
• Drive continuous improvement : Keep abreast of the latest developments in OCP standards and Kubernetes technologies to enhance testing strategies and blueprint configurations.
• Solve problems : Swiftly identify and resolve platform and hardware-related issues encountered during the support phase.
