Description:
Affinity Water the UK’s largest water only company are looking for a Solutions Architect with extensive experience in designing and delivering modern systems to support our Digital Transformation Programme. You will join the Data & Architecture team, collaborating closely with Engineers, Business Analysts, Architects, and Developers to create scalable business solutions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 5+ years in technology solutions within an architectural framework.
- Ability to translate business requirements into solution designs.
- Experience designing enterprise-grade solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, engaging up to C-Level.
- Proven experience delivering scalable, secure solutions on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of common architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
- Experience with a public cloud platform, preferably AWS.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Agile development environment experience.
Responsibilities:
- Architectural Leadership: Set standards and patterns, ensuring system development aligns with business demands and technology standards.
- Solution Design: Translate business and technical requirements into effective architectural blueprints, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
- Documentation: Develop and present architectural artefacts and options to stakeholders. Document standards, designs, and models.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, challenge existing solutions, and recommend improvements.
- Continual Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Train and develop Engineers on new trends.
