ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a technical leader with a product mindset to be a founding member of the Product Incubation & Customer Insights team. You’ll partner with our customers and internal teams to drive early access (alpha/beta) programs. You’ll manage the end-to-end cross-functional process, working with your key stakeholders to define ideal customer profiles, develop entry/exit criteria, and onboard/offboard customers. You’ll support customers in defining and building initial prototypes, validate that they’re delivering customer value, run evals to benchmark new models, and provide feedback to the product team to inform product development. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Technical Success, Applied Research, Product, and Engineering teams.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Drive the end-to-end process for early access programs, including developing program structure, customer recruitment, onboarding, technical prototyping, feedback synthesis, offboarding, and communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Develop and implement structured product feedback approaches that streamline the collection, execution, and analysis of user feedback during early access programs. You’ll deliver quantitative and qualitative insights and develop an informed perspective on product/model capabilities, informing the product roadmap and product positioning.
Enable customers through deep expertise and hands-on technical problem solving, serving as the first line of technical support. You will troubleshoot and triage issues, help produce code and docs to enable builders during the early stage of product testing, and collaborate with engineering teams to address more complex technical feedback.
Support customer model evaluation and prototype development by partnering with Solution Architects and Engineers to assist customers in running evaluation benchmarks and building initial prototypes, ensuring a positive user experience and accurate feedback capture.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:
5+ years of experience as a solutions architect, software engineer, or product manager working with startups and/or large enterprises. Experience as a former founder or founding engineer is valued.
Proven experience in a technical environment, working with cross-functional teams to drive product programs, define requirements, and navigate key milestones.
Proven experience leading customer-facing projects that have made a lasting impact on product and design decisions.
Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills, along with exceptional communication abilities.
A passion for building products from scratch, including prototypes using our API platform.
Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript and have a strong grasp of AI/LLM best practices.
