Description:
The Solutions Consultant is a Pre-Sales role, responsible for listening to prospects’ challenges and gathering their requirements in order to offer specific technical subject matter expertise to the sales function, supporting the functional aspects of Workiva’s platform and solutions via presentations and value-based product demonstrations of the Workiva platform.
The Solutions Consultant role is focused on supporting our Sales Team across large customer organizations across the EMEA region.. As a Solutions Consultant, you will engage with prospects to identify their needs, prepare and lead demos, and showcase how our solutions meet their requirements.
Leveraging your industry expertise, you will act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process. This role offers the opportunity to expand your skills and work alongside top SaaS professionals, with continuous learning and growth opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Interact with prospects to determine their software needs and become a trusted advisor by demonstrating how the Workiva Platform meets those business needs
- Gain a deep understanding of the Workiva Platform and excel in articulating its benefits to prospects. Use storytelling to connect its features to their business needs, and provide prompt, accurate responses to their technology-related inquiries.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to prospective customers or at events e.g. webinars, conferences, etc.
- Actively contribute to cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success, by offering creative solutions and responsiveness, thereby enhancing value for both your sales team and assigned prospects.
- Collect feedback from the field and provide it to Product Marketing and Product Development for further improvements of the current solutions
- Develop strong knowledge of the Workiva Platform and relevant regulations through a commitment to ongoing training
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
- 4 years + of related experience on financial and/or sustainability processes or software sales / pre-sales
Preferred Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of the internal processes of a company’s finance function
- Understanding the requirements of CSRD and ESRS and the impact these have on companies reporting in EMEA
- Ability to assess business needs and deliver a value-based, compelling software demonstration
- Experience in process improvement consulting
- Experience with business intelligence technologies, databases or data management platforms (SAP, Oracle, Workday or similar)
- Creative, entrepreneurial mindset
- Proven problem-solving skills and business acumen
- Determined, roll up your sleeves attitude
- Excellent client-facing presentation skills
- Proven project and time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, successfully multi-tasking and determining priorities to meet deadlines

Travel Requirement and Working Conditions
- Up to 40% travel for customer and internal meetings
- Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
