Imaging Healthcare Specialists is actively seeking experienced and professional Solutions Engineer.
Locations with Position Openings: Remote

Summary: The Solutions Engineer will play a critical role in integrating and optimizing clinical systems. Working closely with the Solutions Architect, clinical application analysts, and external partners, the solutions engineer will ensure seamless interoperability, improve customer quality, experience, and flow, address technical challenges, and drive automation initiatives. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Essential Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Interface and Integration Development
  • Design, build, deploy, and manage system interfaces and integrations under the guidance of the Solutions Architect.
  • Verify the stability, interoperability, security, and scalability of system architecture.
  • Maintain company interface documentation protocols across all modalities.
  • Requirements Analysis & Workflow Design:
  • Collaborate with customers and team members to collect requirements, analyze workflows, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Assist in implementing new features and functions in collaboration with clinical application analysts.
  • Collaborate with engineers and developers to select appropriate design solutions and ensure system compatibility.
  • Technical Project Management and Support:
  • Manage multiple technical projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outcomes.
  • Proactively assess integration platform health, addressing issues impacting system performance or availability.
  • Identify and resolve HL7 exceptions, monitoring trends to enhance system performance.
  • Act as a Tier II escalation point for the IT team, providing technical consultation and problem-solving support.
  • Automation & Reporting Solutions:
  • Develop automation scripts for recurring tasks (e.g., scheduling reports, alert notifications).
  • Design and deploy clinical automation tools (e.g., DICOM parsing/morphing).
  • Build reporting solutions to transform organizational data into actionable insights.
  • Train end-users on effective use of reporting tools and applications.
  • Continuous Improvement and Lean
  • Drive process improvement and customer value through the application of Lean principles.
  • Hands-on engagement in understanding and applying Lean
  • Maintain an unrelenting focus on improvement and providing customer value

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required experience with RIS, PACS and Archive systems, DICOM, HL7, FHIR, dictation and reporting systems, Technologist and Radiologist workflow
  • Preferred experience: SQL, API integration, PowerShell, JavaScript.
