Description:
Position Summary:
The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for positioning and selling Lapp Solutions with connection products in the field. An experienced solutions engineer with a consultative approach, extensive experience with electrical and process automation architecture knowledge, and the ability to deliver successful proof of concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical consulting for enterprise prospects
- Deliver successful proof-of-concepts, deployment planning and consulting engagements
- Be a resident subject matter expert on renewable energy, cables and connectivity solutions
- Establish and maintain technical credibility with prospects and existing customers
- Build strong relationships with customers to help advance deals
- Actively communicate with engineering and marketing with respect to evolving customer requirements in the marketplace
- Continually assist with solutions development to expand to new target markets and focus industries
- Improve the customer’s experience through workshops, events and written documentation
- Care about contributing to improving the work culture and environment
- Are comfortable with the rapid, unpredictable, disruptive and sometimes complex and volatile nature of the business
- Work with customers in person and establish effective contacts
- Work closely with Sales team to provide solutions and support the development of solution proposal to key/target accounts.
- Expand the customer base and maximize the market coverage in the designated industry.
- Work closely with the General Manager to promote growth of Lapp products
- Pursue and achieve total quality and competitive advantage through high degree of self discipline, commitment and involvement at all levels of the organization as well as with its customers, suppliers and principals.
- Undertake any other tasks as and when assigned by the General Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in roles that require direct technical customer interaction, such as Professional Services, Commercial Engineering and Solutions Engineering in the Manufacturing and Process Automation Industry
- Excellent written and verbal skills, particularly in conveying technical concepts in a way that is easy for clients and non-technical partners to understand
- Excellent project management skills
- Good application knowledge in manufacturing and process automation industry
- Ability to collaborate across different functions
- Hard working, good attitude, team-oriented, bright, creative, cooperative, and exceptional problem solving skills
- Early adopter to technology, passion and interest in e-commerce markets
- Experience working closely with external clients in the full implementation of the project.
