Description:

  • Train staff on various wine-handling techniques, including presenting, opening, decanting, and serving.
  • Instruct staff on the proper maintenance of drinkware and beverage equipment.
  • Educate staff on articulating different wine categories.
  • Guide staff in effectively using Point of Sales (POS) systems for beverage orders.
  • Assist staff in managing customer queries.
  • Coach staff on recommending appropriate wine and food pairings to customers.
  • Engage with customers to evaluate their satisfaction and enhance their experience.
  • Ensure staff adherence to customer service standards through regular inspections.
  • Analyze customer feedback to identify gaps in service delivery.
  • Oversee the execution of customer loyalty initiatives.
  • Conduct audits to ensure staff compliance with alcohol handling and consumption regulations.
  • Perform audits on staff adherence to the organization’s hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Audit compliance with the organization’s food waste management procedures.
  • Ensure staff follow the organization’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies.
  • Plan staff schedules according to operational needs.
  • Guide staff through opening, operating, and closing shifts.
  • Conduct daily sales reconciliations.
  • Implement strategies to meet sales targets.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Assist in coordinating crisis response and recovery efforts according to business continuity policies.
  • Provide on-the-job training and evaluate the performance of subordinates.
  • Assist in interviewing candidates as part of the recruitment process.
  • Collect data for process improvement reviews to assess the effectiveness of work procedures.
  • Suggest and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Train staff on the use of emerging technologies and tools to boost productivity.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant or wine-focused role.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Advanced education or certification in wine studies (CMS or WSET) is a plus but not required.
