Description:

The Royal Shakespeare Company is looking to appoint a Sound Number 2 for the upcoming production of My Neighbour Totoro to the Gillian Lynne Theatre, London
This position is offered as a fixed term contract, commencing on 10 February 2025.
As Sound Number 2, you will be a senior member of the sound department, with some supervisory responsibility, supporting the Sound Number 1 in maintaining the sound design of the production and deputise for the Sound Number 1 in the running the department to the highest possible standard. You will deal promptly with sound and comms issues on the production as well as supporting on publicity and access events as required.

To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in a Sound Number 2 position, including mix cover and radio mic running, opening and show running a large-scale live theatre production, with a large cast, and a live band.
  • Previous experience managing and fault finding a comms system for multiple technical departments.
  • Previous experience of liaison with in-house technical teams.

Rehearsals will take place in London, prior to the show transferring to the Gillian Lynne Theatre.
