QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/JOB REQUIREMENTS (ABOUT YOU):

  • Experience in a Merchandising, Category Management, Sales, or Marketing role
  • Completion of High School
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Data Analytics or Marketing preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Visio, Outlook, Excel, and Access (Visual Basic)
  • Proficient in SQL programming language
  • Tableau development experience an asset
  • Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills
  • Theoretical knowledge of statistics and quantitative analysis techniques
  • Cognos, AS400 experience is an asset

Responsibilities:

ROLE:

This role will support, develop, analyze, and evaluate select Sourcing and Supply Chain activities for Sysco Canada suppliers, and to coordinate activities for the end-to-end sourcing process for Sysco Canada and business sites.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute timelines, sourcing strategies, and negotiation tactics with key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with key internal and external customers to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Continuously review and improve processes related to sourcing and supply chain.
  • Provide support to Sourcing Managers, Supply Chain Services, and other key stakeholders.
  • Accountable for organizing and summarizing the initial business case and award recommendations for assigned product categories.
  • Lead the analysis and reporting of net cost data for potential Sourced suppliers.
  • Analyze and report by site and sku using the Earned Income Cube and Cognos Impromptu reporting.
  • Reconcile Sysco net cost data against supplier provided data for Sourced target suppliers.
  • Prepare potential conversion strategies for Sourced target suppliers using results of the data analysis, highlighting opportunities for Earned Income enhancements through consolidation of local programs, relating Sysco sales data to Sales customer mix and identifying Earned Income Deviations.
  • Prepare reporting for possible variations in negotiated outcomes on Sourced Suppliers – “what if” scenarios.
  • Prepare summary reporting for annualized impact of Suppliers converted Sourced status – including impact on total Earned Income.
  • Analyze Supplier Earned Income deviations on Central Billed suppliers for impact on sku and customer profitability.
  • Analyze impact of customer-price-support billbacks on Central Billed target suppliers.
  • Collaborate with SMSI (Sysco Merchandising Services International) to explore international sourcing opportunities
  • Review Item attributes for purposes of preliminary lotting scenarios
  • Support monthly analysis of commodity products buys
  • Consolidate and review annualized sales in preparation for Profit Planning
  • Provide insights and analytic support to overall Merchandising Team through ad-hoc analytics and regular reporting.
  • Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
