Description:
PIXII IS DRIVEN BY THE ELECTRIFICATION MEGATREND. THE DEMAND FOR ENERGY STORAGE SOLUTIONS IS GROWING RAPIDLY FOR A WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS – ENABLING THE FULL IMPACT OF RENEWABLE ENERGY INVESTMENTS AND BETTER UTILIZATION OF EXISTING ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sourcing Category Manager to become an integral member of our team. In this role, you will take charge of Pixii’s sourcing activities, overseeing supplier engagement, qualification, and implementation processes. Your responsibilities will include driving sourcing tasks for projects, ensuring timely product delivery within cost targets, and spearheading cost reduction initiatives both internally and externally to meet our company’s annual saving objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of Pixiis’ category sourcing strategies, ensuring alignment with business stakeholders and project teams across different regions.
- Conduct thorough benchmarking and integrate market-competitive suppliers, curating a preferred supplier list to enhance our supplier base’s effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and assistance to project teams in various regions to seamlessly implement category strategies, accompanied by actionable plans.
- Proactively manage the materials supplier base to drive ongoing improvements in quality, service, cost-effectiveness, and other commercial terms.
- Implement innovative approaches such as establishing material cost structures and introducing new technologies to optimize purchased material costs.
- Achieve company-defined targets, including year-over-year savings, enhancements in cash flow through improved payment terms, optimization of the supply base, and effective execution of category strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related Business Degree.
- 4-5 years or more of sourcing and procurement experience, preferably with experience in the electric industries procurement.
- Experience in establishing and deploying category strategies; familiar with market investigation, benchmarking, and should-cost analysis.
- Experience with engineering projects and contracting.
- Excellent English skills - both written and spoken.
- Excellent negotiation skills, able to build a compelling case and persuade others.
As a person you are diligent and positive. Proactive interpersonal skills are needed to enable and manage strategic relationships internally and externally. In order to successfully maneuver the international supplier environment, you also need to be well versed in cross cultural communication.
