Responsibilities/Qualifications:
The Strategic Sourcing Lead - Information Technology, Telecom, and Indirect Categories at Intrado is a pivotal role that supports the Strategic Sourcing operations within the category spectrum. Following the Strategic Sourcing strategy, this role is instrumental in achieving cost efficiencies and optimizing supplier engagement through meticulous management of the Strategic Sourcing lifecycle. The incumbent will spearhead initiatives for cost reduction and avoidance, while also ensuring supplier diversity and rationalization. Adept at conducting comprehensive market analysis, the strategic Sourcing Lead will craft and oversee the execution of RFPs, pinpoint strategic suppliers, and negotiate contracts that align with Intrado’s financial and operational objectives. This role demands a proactive approach to translating complex analyses into actionable strategies, ensuring that strategic Sourcing activities bolster corporate goals. The Strategic Sourcing Lead will serve as a consultative authority, guiding departments through the intricacies of sourcing with a focus on delivering value and fostering robust supplier relationships.
Location- we are open to candidates in Ontario, Quebec and US Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to plans to improve Strategic Sourcing processes, reduce costs, and optimize value in IT, Telecom, and Indirect acquisitions.
  • Lead the negotiation and management of complex contracts with vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Analyze market trends and technological advancements to inform Strategic Sourcing strategies and identify potential new suppliers.
  • Partners with stakeholders to gather contract requirements, RFI/RFP, contract execution and contract lifecycle management
  • Actively partners with legal teams and business unit stakeholders to develop and execute negotiation strategies that include optimal targets for pricing, service, and quality
  • Oversee the entire Strategic Sourcing lifecycle, from requisition to payment, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in order processing.
  • Partner with team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with Strategic Sourcing policies and procedures, ensuring ethical practices and adherence to budgets.
  • Monitor supplier performance against service level agreements and key performance indicators, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Engage in risk management for Strategic Sourcing activities, identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Report to senior management on Strategic Sourcing activities, savings achieved, and challenges faced, providing actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of legal and regulatory changes affecting multiple Strategic Sourcing categories and adjust practices to maintain compliance.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience in a similar role may be considered.

Minimum Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within multiple categories of Strategic Sourcing, with a focus on IT and Telecommunications.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with various levels of management, including senior leadership teams.
  • Solid experience in conducting RFPs and RFxs within the multiple category sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of Telecommunications and IT Strategic Sourcing.
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic Thinker.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional Project Management Skills with a proficiency in creating project plans using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio, and Smartsheet required
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven track record of influencing decisions.
  • Adept at working in a team environment and fostering collaboration among peers.
  • Proficient in process management and documentation, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate future needs and trends within multiple categories.
  • Experience in complex contract negotiations and an understanding of advanced contract terms.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously, with strong negotiation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

The starting salary is anticipated between $90,000 and $110,000 to start and will be commensurate with experience
